The basic design for our fruit cages, has not really had to change much in the last 75 years. We work on the premise that a fruit cage has to be practical, functional and long lasting.

We have however incorporated much more modern technology into our latest cages.

The uprights are 19mm (¾”) galvanised steel tubes that are buried 350mm into the ground, giving strength and rigidity. All the cross-members and door are made of 19mm (¾”) aluminium tubes for lightness, the whole structure being screwed tightly together.

Both the side net and top net are made from 19mm (¾”) heavy duty polyethylene knotted netting. This is the hardest wearing net we make and will last for years.

All of our fruit cages are 2 metres high. You can order a fruit cage in any size from 2 metres square, with increments of 250mm.
